This thing is fantastic. The speakers sound worlds better than I had expected. My Bose headphones sound a lot better, of course, but I can't sleep in those, and at the lower volumes you want while trying to go to sleep, these sound really, really great. The speakers are very thin, round discs about the circumference of a Ritz cracker, only much thinner. The padding on both sides of them makes it very comfortable, you don't feel anything annoying pressing on your ear or anything. One of the best features is how quiet they are from the outside. I was afraid the music would annoy my wife, because though it was low volume it still sounded a little bit loud at times, depending on what was playing. But I found that when I take them off and set them aside, I can't hear anything at all. My wife can't hear the music, not even faintly, when I'm wearing them. Very nice.A couple of tips: you may want to get a stereo extension cable (cheap at radio shack or on amazon). Just a couple of feet will due. The cord is just a tad too short if you are like me and tend to roll back and forth from time to time. I also recommend the station ambientsleepingpill.com. I listen to it on my smart phone via the TuneIn radio app. Once TuneIn has played it's standard start up commercial, there are no commercials at all on the actual station. Ever. And TuneIn doesn't butt in with anything either. So you can sleep the entire night with completely uninterrupted music, for free. Also, the station plays sounds and music I haven't heard anywhere else, purely brain-oriented stuff to help you sleep better. It's really amazing. I also sometimes wear these on the elliptical machine because they absorb some sweat and are so comfortable. If the sun is up earlier than I am (usually the case), I just pull the forehead part of this thing down over my eyes to block out the light. I highly recommend this thing. The price is exceptional and the quality is just excellent.
